Search
You can do a search by:
- Location or theme (in French only):
- In order to search the online database, the location must be spelled in French. If you do not know the French name of the place you are searching, use the geographical explorer to make a search by continent, then by country, etc.
- The photographs have not yet been indexed and the themes are those identified by Pierre Verger through his method of classification.
- Picture reference number:
For those who have already consulted the photo library online or at the Foundation and know the picture reference number.
To search for more than one photograph insert a blank space between each number. For example: 3373 3406
- Date:
Although some of the photographs are not precisely dated, the Foundation has established the period during which each picture was taken.
For example a photograph taken in the 1930’s is referred to in the 1930-1939 period.
